Hagerty is the world’s largest membership, insurance, and media organization for collectible vehicles and owners, and an automotive brand dedicated to the love and protection of driving. Headquartered in Traverse City, Hagerty has grown the family business from a small agency of 30 employees to more than 900 employees worldwide and offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Hagerty Magazine is an award winning automotive magazine and the 4th largest circulated automotive magazine. The company also publishes a Valuation Guide for collector and enthusiast vehicles.
Hagerty was founded in Traverse City and continues to grow here. The Grand Traverse region has been wonderful for Hagerty as a business. The quality of life is a major retention and attraction asset for employees. Building and maintaining that quality of life is everybody’s responsibility, which is one reason for Hagerty’s Annual Nonprofit Partner Program, now in its fifth year, and our employees’ long-standing commitment to community involvement.
In addition to its traditional strengths in tourism and agricultural, the Grand Traverse region is poised for additional growth in scalable manufacturing and technology. We can encourage this growth by coalescing around a common vision of success, identifying ways to increase supportive industries, including lawyers, accountants and IT support, and supporting the continued growth of peer networks and mentoring opportunities.
